Screeding Barge

 In the field of the Project Sakhalin-1 under the management of “Exxon Neftegas Ltd” (subsidiary of “ExxonMobil Corporation”) in 2016-2017 it was done the delivery of oversized heavylift modules by “Foss Maritime” company.

 To provide safety entrance of tugs and to move the barge to Piltun bay it was necessary to align underwater ridge. Also it was necessary  straighten the sea-bottom by the screening budge  if the depth of the sea isn’t enough.

 According to the Client’s request, our company specialists have done market research of not self-propelled fleet on the Far East of Russia. We’ve choose transport pontoon MG-101 and mobilized it to Korsakov. Later on we’ve complete modernization of the pontoon as per Client’s project using  special ship-repair company on subcontractor’s agreement. Under this project we manufactured heavy-steel foundation, weld them down to the barge’s deck and set up electric winches on them. According to short time for all preparation works were done in two shifts under the control of Safety engineer of “TransVL” LLC. That’s why we’ve completed all planned work in a short time.

 All control of the installed equipment (screening drag) and equipment of transport pontoon (anchor winch and stationary generator), was done by the team of specialists (mechanic and sailors) of “TransVL” and operators from the customers’ side.

 After navigation season of 2016 was done, the pontoon was off-hire from “Foss Maritime” company. Specialists of our company made a dismantling of the installed equipment. They smoothed out the deck and hand over the pontoon back to the vessel owner.

 At the beginning of navigation season of 2017 our company equipped pontoon same as it was in 2016 and chartered it for “Foss Maritime” company in order to do some further works. On finishing necessary works all the equipment was dismantled and given back to the Customer. All remaining materials were utilized by special organizations and the barge was cleaned and painted and off hired to vessel owner.

As a successful result of finishing this project “TransVL” Lim.Co recommended itself as a responsible partner and got a thankful letter and the Customer is ready to continue our future co-operation.
